CBSE Strategy for Grade VI–VIII Preparation

Middle school (Classes 6–8) is the foundation stage. If students build strong basics now, Class IX–X becomes much easier

Focus on Concept Building (Not Ratta Learning)
  • Understand the concept clearly.
  • Ask doubts immediately.
  • Revise topics the same day.
  • Avoid last-minute studying.

  • Learn tables till 20.

    • Geometry basics
  • Revise formulas weekly.

Science

  • Understand concepts with examples.
  • Draw neat diagrams.
  • Focus on:
    • Human Body
    • Force & Motion
    • Light & Electricity
    • Crop Production
  • Read NCERT line by line.

English

  • Improve vocabulary (5 new words daily).
  • Practice grammar exercises.
  • Read storybooks to improve writing skills.
  • Practice paragraph and letter writing.

Social Science

  • Make short notes.
  • Learn dates & timelines (History).
  • Practice maps (Geography).
  • Understand civics concepts.

Hindi / Second Language

  • Practice writing neatly.
  • Learn grammar rules.
  • Revise poems and meanings.

Daily Study Plan (School Days)

  • 1 hour Homework
  • 1 hour Revision
  • 30 mins Reading Practice
  • Weekend: 2–3 hours revision

Total: 2–3 hours daily is enough
